Welcome to the 10th edition of the Carnival of Nourishment. The big 1-0. That’s 10 months of Carnivalling and it’s been fun. This month, just like all the other months, is full of inspiration and controversy. Feel free, dear Nourishers, to follow the links and thank the contributors for their addition or give them your opinion on what they shared.

Cedric Laval presents Becoming vegetarian posted at Just act.
Please Cedric, before you experience what many Nourished Magazine readers have in their past, research more about vegetarianism in human’s history. Quick heads up Cedric: There is none. Not one preindustrialised society were purely vegetarian. Please see:
Myths and Truths about Vegetarianism at the Weston A Price Foundation site. There are many references to scientific and anthropological proof that a diet of purely vegetable matter has a negative impact on human health. Stick around, we’ll fill you in.
Meantime, we hope you think deeply about this decision and if you do go ahead, at least eat butter, raw milk and raw cheese. Nourishers, please help him along on this journey. Any suggestions?
Tupelo Kenyon presents Is Food Your Medicine or Poison? posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, “Food is not what it used to be. In the relatively recent past, food was universally recognized as the fruits and nuts that grow on trees, the vegetables that grow out of the soil, plus some fish and game. If you were to take a ride in a time machine and show our ancestors what we eat today, they would recognize very little of it. For the most part, it’s over-packaged, over-processed, over-rated and under-nourishing. Every day, we choose our future health and vitality by what we choose to put in our mouths. Three times a day we have the opportunity to act upon our resolve to experience optimum health and vitality . . . at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bon appetit. ”
You make very important points Tupelo but I worry about your recommendation of the book, “The China Study”. Please read Sally Fallon’s review of this very unscientific book.
Parenting
Linsey Knerl presents I Breastfed my Four-Year-Old and It Was Okay posted at Parenting Squad.
You go girl. Now that’s Nourishment.
Tina Su presents The 9 Step Television Diet posted at Think Simple. Be Decisive..
I think we can all get drawn into an addiction or two. Tina shares her TV addiction experience and has some great tactics to let it go again. I threw mine out in 1995, never to have one again. Sometimes I miss documentaries but I just get one from the DVD shop. Now DVD addictions - that’s another story

David B. Bohl presents A Better Life: Are You Willing To Do What It Takes To Achieve It? posted at Slow Down Fast Today!, saying, “We all dream of having a better life – finding a meaning in our life and pursuing our passions and goals. For some of us a better life means advancing our careers, for others it may be a path of personal discovery that leads to a better life. For others it could mean returning to school to get a degree so they can get the job they always wanted and provide for their families.”
New Old-Fashioned Gal presents How Did They Do It? posted at Diary of a New Old-Fashioned Gal, saying, “For a long time I’ve wondered how the women of old seemed to always be on top of the household chores, and I think that I’ve finally come up with an answer!”
Tupelo Kenyon (again) presents TupeloKenyon.com » How to Accelerate Manifestation posted at Tupelo Kenyon, saying, “Whenever a new desire or grand plan is born within us, the tendency is to share it with others. Every time we talk about it, the energy of the dream seems to deflate a little more, until it becomes merely a topic of idle chatter. Why is that? How can we add to the excitement and urgency of our dreams instead, and speed up their manifestation?”

Samuel Bryson presents Kangaroo Meat – Good For You AND the Environment: posted at Total WellbeingFor those who still can’t quite work their life into being car free, try these great tips. I can not agree with you about the health benefits of lean meat Samuel but I do agree that eating Kangaroo and other native animals would be better for our environment. Take a read of Sally Fallon’s research into Traditional Australian Aboriginal diets. You will be surprised to read that lean Kangaroo was their least favourite.
